5 Most Romantic Trails For Couples

With Valentine's Day approaching, spending the day together with your other half is every couple’s dream. And what is a better way to spend the time together, then spending it outdoors, getting the endorphins going and working up a sweat (ok, ok, maybe the sweat part is not for everyone).  

Hiking together is not only a wonderful way to reconnect with your lover, but also connect together with nature. Crowded cities, packed itineraries, and pricey destinations can leave us with no energy left to enjoy the time together, how about you exchange it for peace, quiet and breathtaking views?

In the name of love, we did a little bit of research and bring you the the most romantic hikes we could find to make Valentine's Day special. 

 

Banff Hike, Canada

Looking for a romantic getaway, where you can expect snow-covered mountains? Then pack your bags and let's go to Canada, to Banff National Park. Apart from the snow-covered mountain peaks, you are also in for a turquoise glacial lakes, a picture-perfect mountain towns and villages, wildlife and scenic drives. 

 

 

Apart from great trails you can go on together, you can also enjoy bike rides on one of the expansive networks of trails, let's not forget skiing (especially if you are in for a night skiing adventure) or camping. There is so much to see and do, your Valentine's weekend will be fully booked. 

 

Moonlit Hike, Utah

The view you will get once up, is a rewards of it's own and to share it and experiences it with your loved one? We can't imagine anything better. The Santa Clara River Reserve offers you a 6,500 acres of public desert. Don't forget the tabletop plateau, which offers the best panoramic views. 

Pro tip: make a 2.5 mile hike to the top of the mountain a little before sunset. 

 

Devil’s Slide, California

Although the name does not sound romantic, bear with us, because the views from the top are worth the hike. Even though it is not the easiest hike. 

It is a 5 mile hike, but has a 1,700 feet elevation gain up the San Jacinto Mountains, between Los Angeles and Palm Springs. Sweat will be involved on this particular hike, but, the view form up top, are one of the best in Southern California.  

In case you are a more adventurous couple and like it rougher, you can go on a 16 mile roundtrip and put in another 2,700 vertical feet to summit San Jacinto Peak. 

 

Kalalau Trail, Hawaii

When it comes to romantic hikes we cannot forget to mention the Kalalau Trail in Hawaii. It is a total of 11 miles and sits between the Pacific Ocean and the cliffs of the Na Pali Coast which offers greenery you can't find anywhere else, roaring waterfalls and much more.

It can become the adventure of a lifetime for you and is a frequently visited couple's destination. It's perfect for anyone who looks for a romantic hike, but has as well an adventurous soul. The perfect combination of stunning views, isolation, and intensity. And because it is a little bit more intense than other hikes, not many people are on the trail, which will leave you a lot of time for yourselves to enjoy each other’s company in the serenity of the Hawaii. 

Denali National Park, Alaska

Jumping back up north, this is a must see romantic spot. You may ask why? First of all it will be cold, meaning more snuggling is guaranteed. Secondly, at the Denali National Park, you have the possibility to enjoy and experience the northern light. 

What a gift it would be, to cross out one item on everyone's bucket list! IT would make the Valentine's weekend unforgeable for sure and February is still the month to see the aurora.
